How We Pray? Rod Anderson
""

The place of prayer is much more than a time of petitioning God. Prayer is the greenhouse of creativity where God births vision and focus, and brings clarity to life’s purpose. Therefore we approach our time of communion with God careful to offer much thanksgiving and praise for Who He is, not for what He can do.

The Lord spoke to us at the beginning of the ministry of Prayer for the Nations and said He wanted to teach us how to “go in and out and find green pasture” for His people. Without realising it at first, we found ourselves deeply connected to what now is widely known as “Harp and Bowl” ministry, where the prayers of the saints were mixed with the praises of His people.

We have witnessed the Lord use this over the years, bringing forth and developing not only deep intimacy with Christ in the hearts of God’s people, but also releasing of strong prophetic declaration.

One of the major targets of Prayer for the Nations is to instil a deep and living faith toward God, and a biblical understanding of “how” God answers prayer. This is promoted by systematic Bible teaching on diverse themes such as “The Integrity of the Believer” and “Character: The Strength behind a Successful Prayer Life.” Our desire is that the Body of Christ understand that the “heart” of prayer is far more vital than the methodology of prayer. Without the necessary integrity of heart, methodical prayer is virtually powerless. With the right heart, the power of prayer is unlimited.
